Issues & Accomplishments
-
The Board of Mayor and Alderman (BOMA) is the primary policy making and legislative body in Spring Hill. This is similar to a City Council in many cities. The BOMA consists of eight Alderman (two from each of Spring Hill’s four wards) plus the Mayor.

Priority
As your alderman, I remain committed to keeping infrastructure our top priority as Spring Hill works to bring our roads, sewer, and water systems up to par with our growth. I will continue working with regional partners to fast track the widening of I-65 between 840 and Saturn Parkway, ensure the Highway 31 widening project stays on TDOT's 10 Year List, and prioritize forward-facing planning for Port Royal Road and Kedron Road.
Accomplishments
Through strategic partnerships and careful planning, we've made significant progress on critical infrastructure needs. As Spring Hill's representative to the Greater Nashville Regional Council's Transportation Policy Board—a position typically held by the Mayor—I've worked to move our city's transportation priorities forward. Through building strong regional partnerships, we successfully restored the Highway 31 widening project to TDOT's 10-year plan, securing nearly $300 million in funding for this critical infrastructure improvement. Additionally, we have:
Expedited critical water infrastructure projects, including the city's first two water tanks since 2016 and a new booster station, to address capacity challenges during periods of excessive heat and drought
Driven forward the innovative Project SWIFT water purification facility—an initiative that will secure Spring Hill's water independence for future generations
-
Priority
Spring Hill must prioritize responsible growth, not simply growth for growth's sake like we have in the past. My focus will be on three key areas: building the infrastructure we need to support existing development, ensuring our police and fire departments have the resources to keep our growing community safe, and making sure future economic development aligns with our long-term vision. Every decision should advance our goal of making Spring Hill an even better place to live, work, and raise our families.
Accomplishments
By maintaining a balanced approach to growth and public safety, we've delivered key results:
Worked to bring projects that strengthen our commercial tax base (reducing our government's reliance on your property tax) such as the US Tennis Association project (Legacy Pointe) and Spring Hill Commerce Center
Secured land for a new 47-acre public park in Williamson County to serve Spring Hill residents
Delivered on Spring Hill's long-awaited need for a dedicated police headquarters—the first standalone facility in our city's history
Advanced plans and secured funding for Spring Hill's newest fire station, Fire Station 4 - The Mitchell Earwood Memorial Station - expanding critical emergency services to meet our city's growth (opening late 2025)
-
Priority
A strong financial foundation is essential to Spring Hill's future and our ability to fund crucial infrastructure improvements. As your alderman, I remain committed to maintaining our low property tax rate while protecting our upgraded AA+ bond rating through responsible fiscal management. By continuing to pass balanced budgets and exercise careful financial stewardship, we can fund critical infrastructure and quality of life improvements without burdening taxpayers.
Accomplishments
During my tenure, I've helped build a stronger financial foundation for Spring Hill while cutting tax rates for our citizens. We've cut property tax rates twice while simultaneously improving our city's bond rating from AA to AA+ (which was reaffirmed recently in December 2024). As a member of the Budget and Finance Advisory Committee, I've worked to ensure this balanced approach—maintaining fiscal responsibility, as evidenced by four consecutive years of unmodified audit opinions.

Priority
The key to solving Spring Hill's biggest challenges lies in strong regional partnerships. We simply don't have the resources locally to build the infrastructure our growing city needs. My experience building crucial relationships with county, state, and regional partners has already helped bring significant projects to Spring Hill, and I remain committed to strengthening these partnerships to advance our city's interests.
Accomplishments
Recognizing Spring Hill needed a stronger voice in county planning decisions, I served as our city's representative on the Williamson County Growth Plan Coordinating Committee. Through building strong relationships with county partners, we successfully preserved Spring Hill's control over the June Lake Boulevard corridor—protecting our $30 million infrastructure investment and our city's ability to guide future economic development in this strategic area.
Additionally- serving as Spring Hill's representative to the Greater Nashville Regional Council's Transportation Policy Board required me to build key regional relationships that help advance our city's interests. This role has been crucial in securing vital transportation funding and ensuring Spring Hill's voice is heard at the regional level.
